Do you want to lose weight?
The simple answer to lose weight successfully is to eat less! Some changes in diet and exercise might be appropriate and you are going to need someone to help you to stay on track.
If you are only a few kilos/pounds overweight stop eating between meals. Substitute snacks with a glass or small bottle of water and a portion of fruit during morning and afternoon breaks.
Break the coffee/tea and snacks cycle. Don't eat snacks at the end of day at wine/beer relaxation time.
Eat smaller meals and finish with a drink of water to fill the tummy.
Diet and Exercise
If eating less is not working for you may have to change your diet. Eat less fast foods, bread and potatoes, and substitute with vegetables and fruit.
Do more exercise or try a different form of exercise - try cycling or gym work.

Will your partner or a family member support your desire to lose weight?
Having someone to encourage your efforts and note the changes (read the scales) will contribute to a positive outcome for you.
If you don't have a partner or family member available you will still benefit from some discussion with others. Talk about your weight loss to fellow gym club members, running mates, or join a commercial weight control programme.
The important thing is to make a commitment to lose weight.
