Easy-to-prepare Heart-Friendly Instant Yummy Soup

The healthy soup
Since I was diagnosed as having blood pressures going into the risky level, I started to ask my 70-year-old mother who is a very good cook and who is also suffering from high blood pressure, what kind of food I must eat to keep my blood cholesterol and blood pressure under control. When she was diagnosed with it, she started asking her doctors and did some research on making healthy choices in the food she eats.
To start my inquiry, I told her that one of my favorites is having a soup for breakfast or dinner. So I asked her what soup recipe is healthier, better and safer.
She introduced me to her instant soup that can be done in just about 5 minutes. It is low in cholesterol, fats and sodium.
The 5-minute soup
6 cups – chicken broth
100 gms – lean beef, chopped
1 cup – cabbage, shredded
2 pcs. – tomato, fresh, cubed
½ pc. cucumber, small, sliced thinly
3 pcs- mushroom button, fresh sliced
1. Heat chicken broth. Bring to boil.
2. Add lean beef to chicken broth and simmer for a few minutes.
3. Add all vegetables – cucumber, mushroom button, cabbage and tomato.
4. Simmer for 3 minutes.
5. Serve immediately and enjoy.
