How to get over depression.
Like many people today I myself personally have been through depression. It is easy with tough times in the economy to let yourself get down with financial woes, or with relationship problems. I recently have got out of a relationship with a woman that was supposedly over her ex husband and seemed pretty interested in me. We dated for months and she had been separated for him for 2 years plus. Then out of the blue she decided to get back with him. That is what caused my depression. What I am going to talk about know is how to deal with it and get over depression. Everyone deals with things differently I am not going to sit here and say what worked for me will necessarily work for you or what might work for you would work for me. What I will say is this though all of us has certain needs and things that make us happy. The key to fixing your problem is to first know what your needs are. If you are a person that has a need to be loved and does not have a lot of friends or family to talk about things with. You should go out and make new friends, or consider an online dating or social site if you have trouble meeting people in the real world. If your a woman and shopping is your fix when you are upset, by all means get all pretty go out and by you some new clothes. If your a sports fanatic or music lover go to a concert or big sporting event. The best way to get over depression is to first realize your problems get them out of your system then move on and not think about them by keeping yourself busy. The more that you sit at home dwelling on the problem the worst it will become. If you are severely depressed I suggest you see a health care professional, but for someone that is mildly depress the above information should help. I know it is hard to get out of the house when you are in the state of mind as being depressed, but trust me getting out is the best thing.

I agree, the only way out is, to work yourself out of it all. Doing things that are positive and make you happy are great ideas. Also, I love the fact that you stated, to seek help if it seems to be a problem and you need help getting out of your depression. Thank you for sharing.:)

Yes there are big differences between mid and severe depression. For mild depression all of the above things are great to help get out of that funk you are in. I would also like to add making yourself do daily tasks such as showering and cleaning the house, just the normal every day necessary things will also help.
