Good listing - one other thing that is simple enough, but often overlooked is movement. Even if a person can't walk, or is confined to a chair or bed - if they can move their foot, lifting each leg from the knee one at a time - several times, then the other, then focus on the ankle, turning it round and round and up and down, several times - then the other ankle, then wiggle and wiggle the toes on one foot, then the other. If a person does this at least once an hour, it will help the body to circulate the extra fluid on it's own by warming the muscles and increasing the blood and fluid flow - which will naturally help the excess fluid to travel to the body and out the bladder. If a person is unable to do this on their own, another person can carefully and slowly do these movements for them - it will achieve similar results, not as good as doing it yourself, but much better than doing nothing. Massage also is wonderful with or without oil aid - at warming the muscles, and increasing circulation - but care must be taken with massage if there is possibility of clots.
