Why spent your hard earned cash buying products to prevent foot odor, when you can use items from your kitchen to ensure that feet are sweet smelling?
How To Prevent Foot Odor
Imagine you have spent the day making your apartment look welcoming and comfortable with subtle lighting and candles. The dinner is cooking slowly in the kitchen, giving off wonderful aromas. Your boy/girl friend arrives and after eating a wonderful meal, you both relax, sipping wine. As you slip off your shoes, to make yourself more comfortable, you cannot help but turn your nose up and turn bright red in the face, as the odour of your smelly feet wafts through the room. After saying goodnight to your friend, who suddenly remembers he/she left the gas on, you dive into bed and cry yourself to sleep.
The next day with red and swollen eyes you surf the net and find this very informative article by Ginagee which is going to solve your problem and enable you to live happily ever after.
Firstly sweaty feet are smelly feet!
Footwear
When possible allow air to get to your feet, wear open sandals or flip flops rather than trainers or shoes.
Wash trainers and canvas shoes regularly. Yes they will go in the washing machine.
Try and change shoes daily. If you only have two pairs of shoes then alternate.
Ground cloves sprinkled in shoes will remove odor.
Change socks, stockings or tights daily
When washing socks, stockings or tights turn them inside out to enable dead skin to be removed during the washing process.
Feet
Wash and thoroughly dry feet at least twice a day.
Lightly sprinkle baking soda onto feet and between toes to help absorb perspiration which causes foot odor.
At least once a week pamper your feet by soaking them in warm water for at least 30 minutes or more. Adding salt, lemon juice, essential oil particularly lavender, olive oil or tea will not only benefit your feet but also help you too relax.
Use sea salt or make yourself a foot scrub by combining sea salt, cornmeal or oats, lemon juice and a drop of water to form a paste, to rub into areas where skin has hardened.
After soaking, scrubbing and drying feet, treat yourself to a massage using a moisturizing cream, essential oils or Aloe Vera gel.
Okay so now you have followed these tips and have sweet smelling feet don’t forget to give me plenty of notice to buy my hat for the wedding.
