Art of swimming and floating in water.

Swimming is the best exercise for human beings. It was probably one of the exercises where the entire body gets movements.

There are four broad types of swimming. They include freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breast stroke. Each of these strokes have their way of swimming. All these strokes start with the art of floating in water.

Beginners when they learn swimming in swimming pools, they are asked to catch a platform or wooden piece and do their leg movements. The leg movements of each of the strokes are different. Only if a beginner knows how to do the leg movements can he or she learn how to float.

Floating backwards is the art of staying in the water facing the sky and doing the leg movements. The harder the leg movements, the faster the person can float. Archimedes principle works over here, and a person displaces the same amount of water which is equivalent to his body.

Women float better than man.

The more horizontal the body can be while floating, the better the swimmer can float in water. In respect of the front floating style, the head of the person has to lie inside the water and the person should float. The person should breathe well in water. The basic technique of breathing in water includes taking the air by nose and throwing it out by mouth.

Women float better than men in water due to their body shape. Lifeguards in different parts of the world learn some extra techniques of swimming including diving deep into the water. Divers also reach the summit of the sea beds to learn about corals, and other things at the bottom of the seas.

In countries like Sweden, Denmark, Norway, etc., children are trained to swim and also float so that learn the art of saving themselves in case any natural calamity takes place in water. Floating is the first exercise and the trainers teach how the swimmer should breathe so that the swimmer can float for a longer distance.

In countries like India, villagers who swim in rivers like Ganges, or Yamuna or Brahmaputra, don’t take proper training. They do the foot movements and thereafter their struggle to go deeper into the pond or the river enables them to learn swimming.

Everyone should learn the art of swimming and the art of floating. It is a very good aerobic exercise and makes the blood circulation better in the body of the swimmer.

Swimming is the best exercise. Every part of the body gets movements, right from hands to legs, etc.
