We have no control over external circumstances. However, we do have a propensity to blame everything other than ourselves, which then leads to a weakened state of mind. Is there a way out of this? Read on.

Me, in the world; and, the world in my Self

“The whole world is against me”, said a voice in me.
“Are you on the side of dharma?” asked I.
“If you are, then it matters not if you die.”
“What matters is that you stood on the right side.”
“For, far greater powers than you ensure that dharma always wins in the end.”
“If you are not on the side of dharma, do change your side.”

“The whole world is against me”, said a voice in me.
“Is what you desire something more than what you need to be alive?” asked I.
“If it is, then drop your desire, and your opposition shall fade away.”
“If it is not, make your efforts. You shall get what you need for this moment.”

“The whole world is against me”, said a voice in me.
“Are you in pain?” asked I.
“If you are, then hand over all your pain to Her.”
“If you are, do what you can to relieve the pain of others.”
“Then you shall find that you are much stronger than you believed.”
“If you are not in pain, wake up, and drop your childishness.”

“The whole world is against me”, said a voice in me.
“See the world, and sure enough there is you, to be against.”
“See your Self, and there is no world to be against You.”
