This is part 5 of a series of 12 articles about what they should have, but didn't teach us in school!

First the short version of this article

Read the Bible.

End of page.

Well, if only it was that simple and the above IS simple. The problem is that again we are completely brainwashed. And I am what I call "church damaged" on top of it until I realised that church and religion is a business and faith in God is the real thing. Yes, the truth IS simple, ALL truth is simple.

I've studied the religions in this world, spoke to Scientology Church members, studied the entire Bhagavad-Gita As It Is, spoke to Buddhists, read parts of the Koran, spoke to Jehovah's witnesses, attended Angel Days and learnt how to meditate with crystals and how to communicate with my higher self, did some channelling, learnt aura reading and painted mandalas. But I never read the Bible until one evening I received an email which in essence and without frills said: "Just read the Bible". And so I did.

God is within

And all of a sudden, all brainwashing and all my misconceptions regarding spiritual life and faith were washed away and I too realised that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are not "out there" somewhere, but within myself. The word "to pray" suddenly had another meaning, it "rang" true.

Hm, the above are, of course, MY personal views on the spiritual subject and one could certainly write a lot more about it, but all I want to say really is that God is not a punishing God as probably many of us are accustomed of thinking, but that he is within us, with us and around us and we can always, ALWAYS ask him for help. And he will help.

God is not cruel!

Yes, I can hear you asking: "Why is it that this God is so cruel to let us have these horrible accidents and illnesses etc. etc.". Well, he isn't and he never intended us to have these experiences. It's really YOU yourself who chose to make these experiences. And all you do is trying to blame someone else for you making mistakes.

And yes, I hear you saying: "It's not my fault, I didn't know". Tough. Neither can you kill a man and then pretend that you didn't know that man slaughter is against the law. They WILL lock you up!

"It is written", Jesus said. So all you have to do is inform yourself. But you are too lazy and too comfortable to really want to learn. Well, if you don't, you are MADE to listen with discomfort, illnesses and unhappiness. Very natural mechanism it seems to me, mankind would be extinct otherwise probably.

God gave us the choice

God gave us the ability to think and choose. If he hadn't done that, we'd be like rocks, plants and animals that don't have a choice. And that's irrevocable. Even if our society guides us the wrong way, it is MY responsibility and YOURS to do RIGHT. There is no other way!

Loving eyes

Many years ago I met a young woman who had the most sparkling and loving eyes you could imagine. I observed that for many days and also saw that whatever she did, she seemed to do it the "right" way. She didn't have any problems, she smiled and worked and lived. I was baffled. One day, I asked her, why she had such sparkling and loving eyes and if she knew about it. And she said: "Yes, I know about my eyes. You see, " she said,

"I live in Jesus"

As always, working for

A SUCCESSFUL, HAPPY AND HEALTHY FUTURE

Thanks for calling in!

God did not call us to be Christians. He called us to be Christ-like. The former is a title. The latter is a life.

Well, Jack, I think we have to agree to differ here. As far as I could make out from the Holy Scripts of this world, we are meant to worship God and work for our bodily needs.

I think it is wrong, pompous and assuming if we wish to be or live Christ-like and indeed virtually impossible. God never and nowhere asked this of us as far as I can make out.

Ora et labora - Work and Pray. Not more is necessary and religion doesn't enter into that either.

Well, at least this "conduct" is what makes my life a happy life.
