Tips in protecting your heart
Now days, Heart diseases become more common due to complex life style, stress and eating habits.
Blood pressure and stroke are the commonest one. Here are some useful tips to protect your heart.
Tip1: Try to maintain normal weight and Body mass index (BMR). Obesity is dangerous and cause of heart diseases. A balanced diet and healthy lifestyle is necessary to make your heart healthy. Avoid intake of excess sodium and fat rich food items.
Tip 2: Plan health checkup twice a year to get precise information of your body. Do not avoid or delay to consult your doctor if you see any symptoms. Most of us just do not care for ourselves and in return increases serious health problem.
Tip3: Exercise is important to rejuvenate and boost your body. It will help to maintain proper functioning of your heart. Take a walk or jog in fresh air if you cannot afford costly gymnasium. Try Yoga and breathing exercise to strengthen and revitalize your heart.
Tip 4: Smoking and drinking are very injurious to your heart. Quitting these habits can be beneficial on economic front also. In addition to heart diseases, smoking increases the risk of other severe diseases.
Tip 5: Think positive and try to spend quality time with your family and friends. Avoid stress and involve yourself to do things you love. Try meditation, it will help you to revive.
Tip 6: Cholesterol is the culprit for cardiovascular diseases. Symptoms caused by high cholesterol are noticed at very late stage so check your cholesterol level at regular intervals.
Tip 7: Plan your exercise schedule according to your cholesterol level. Discus with your physician and understand healthy cholesterol level, its importance and consequences.
LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) is known to be bad cholesterol and should be less that 100 mg/dL (milligram per decilitre). HDL (High Level Lipoprotein) is called good cholesterol and it should be more that 60 mg/dL.
Tip 8: Treatment of hypertension is available so check your blood pressure at regular intervals before it’s too late.
Tip 9: Maintain cardiac rhythm of your heart which means systolic and diastolic pressure. A healthy person has 120/80 blood pressure.Buy an automatic blood pressure monitor and use it. Disturbance in systolic and diastolic pressure can cause heart attacks, strokes and heart failure.
Tip 10: Last but not the least, don’t be lazy and plan your health checkups. Consult your doctor regularly and follow his advice.
