A lot of people who suffer from high blood pressure want to know how to improve blood circulation, a common symptom of HBP and surprisingly, a cause as well.
If your legs feel tight or painful when you walk and are swelling up below the knees and around the ankles, you may be suffering from poor blood circulation.

We Can Do A Lot To Improve Circulation

Before you take any action you need to be sure, so make an appointment with your doctor. He will arrange for tests to be done to diagnose if that`s the case.

If the answer is yes, then there is a lot you can do to help yourself. Beware, in stead of water pills or any sort of medication ask about natural ways to try and relieve the problem. We don't want to take more pills than we really need to?

Knowledge about how the blood circulates around the body will help you understand how to improve blood circulation in your legs and arms.

Good blood circulation is vital to good health.The reason is because nutrients need to get to the tissues and toxins leave the tissues via the blood circulation. So if our blood circulation is not operating optimally, nutrition and detox will not work optimally either.

Poor Circulation Simptoms: Cold hands and feet, Numbness of hands and feet, Varicose veins, Low Libido, Hemorrhoids’, Poor healing - either of wounds or bruises, Dizziness when rising suddenly, Swollen ankles and legs, Poor memory, confusion and several other mental symptoms.

How to Improve Blood Circulation

To improve blood circulation there are a number of specific things you can do. However, first of all, you should attend to the basics.

1. Diet

You should be eating a diet with high quantities of preferably raw vegetables; lean protein such as chicken breast, and
oily fish;minimal starchy food - pasta, bread, rice, potato; Use sugar of any kind sparingly; limit your omega-6 fats such as sunflower and soy oil; rather use cold pressed (or 'virgin') olive oil; limit high-temperature cooking - favor poaching, simmering or steaming. This dietary measure wil be a great indirect benefit in boosting your blood circulation.

2. Exercise regime

Exercise aerobically 2-3 times a week for about 30 minutes.Brisk walking is one of the best aerobic exercises. Swimming is also great. Do weight bearing exercises for 30-45 minutes 2-3 times a week. In addition, do any other exercise as you wish - eg racquet sports, football, netball.
To improve blood circulation, exercise is absolutely vital. Be assiduous with your exercise regime and you will get the benefits you rightly deserve.

3. Your relaxation regime

You should have relaxation time every day. Set time aside for yourself as you feel appropriate. Do Not neglect yourself. Relaxation helps your whole body to recuperate.

4. Spices

Cayenne is a wonderful herb which boosts circulation wonderfully. Cayenne has an affinity with the circulation, the heart and the blood. Use Cayenne in cooking and for spicing snacks as often as you can.

5. Supplement

The Manna Blood Circulation Support is excellent to assist blood circulation, because the combination of special ingredients dissolve accumulated plaque on the inside walls of the arteries which often is the root cause of poor blood circulation.

Other Causes Of poor Blood Circulation

There are quite a few other health problems and lifestyle habits that can cause bad circulation.

The Health Problems:

* High Blood Pressure
* Atherosclerosis

* Anemia
* Blood Vessel Disorders
* Varicose Veins
* DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis)
* Thrombophlebitis
* Heart Disorders
* Circulatory Disorders
* Thyroid Disorders
* Pneumonia
* Pregnancy

The Lifestyle Habits:

* Obesity
* Inactivity
* Smoking
* Cramped Sitting/Standing Postures
* Poor Diet

Poor circulation is caused by most of the above conditions. You can greatly improve or even eliminate them by using the following methods:

Boosting Blood circulation Using Massage

Massaging your muscles helps them to push blood back to the heart through your veins, increasing the vital oxygen needed to keep the tissue in your legs from deteriorating which causes ulcers and can eventually lead to gangrene.

You have a natural pump in the sole of your foot, consisting of a series of large veins called the Venous Plexus. These veins fill with blood and when we stand or walk, blood is forced out and up the leg.

How it works: When your foot is flattened by standing or walking, the Venous Plexus is stretched and the blood is squeezed out. This is natures way to help the blood back from the extremities of the feet to the heart.

All People with circulatory problems should consult their doctors before embarking upon any therapy.

Hello Carol, I'm so glad you liked it. I have this problem and have been trying out this whole regime as far as possible, being in a wheel chair most of the time. However, using my walker, for longer distances and sticking to the diet, I feel great, and the swelling has all but disappeared. Most of my friends and family have suffered from swollen ankles and high blood pressure from time to time. I am awaiting their results from trying this remedy:-))

You and I both Buzz, until I started checking. I had hardly started exercising and cutting down on coffee, somewhat. Coffee, which incidentally has the effect of constricting normal blood flow through your capillaries and veins. The jury is still out about the coffee thing, since it comes highly recommended for reducing heart attacks! What I have reported here, works for me, so I pass it along to those I care about. Thank you for reading my friend.

Hello Richard, The exercise regime is really no big deal, I kid you not. Situated in the soles of our feet are glands called Venous Plexus, just by standing for about 2 minutes every hour while writing, they work like magic, squeezing the accumulated blood upwards towards your heart and towards good health.Thank for reading.
