There are 5 simple steps to prevent and treat heart disease, see the following article to find out more.

Introduction

Heart disease is a terrible disease, because the disease is classified as a fatal disease and difficult to cure. However, a member of the American Heart Association, Steven Masley, MD finds 5 simple steps to prevent and treat this disease. He said that heart disease can be prevented and recovered without surgery and without drugs in just five simple steps as outlined in his best-selling book, "The 30-Day Heart Tune-Up."

He said that more than 100 patients have managed to make their younger heart by using a method that emphasizes on diet and lifestyle. According to Dr. Masley, these patients can recover heart disease by following what he calls a factor of 5 F, namely: Fiber, Fish, Food Nutrients, Fitness, and Fat.

How to apply 5 F of Dr. Steven Masley, MD?

According to Dr. Steven Masley, MD, 5 F (Fiber, Fish, Food Nutrients, Fitness, and Fat) can be applied in the following ways:

1. Increasing fiber intake

Fiber is very important to treat heart disease. Dr Steven Masley recommends consuming soluble fiber found in beans, nuts, whole grains, vegetables, and fruits. A person with heart disease should consume five cups of fruits and vegetables along with a half cup of beans and a handful of nuts every day.

Fruits and vegetables are good for the heart is like a brightly colored green, bright red and yellow because it is rich in antioxidants and anti-aging. Tomatoes, oranges, red grapes, broccoli, peppers, kale and spinach are some of them.

2. Eating more fish

Fish is very good for the heart, because fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Fish can be set to be a normal heart rate and can prevent blood stiffness that causes blood clots.

Dr Masley recommends eating cold-water fish such as salmon or trout at least three times a week, because the fish contains 'good fats' and are less likely to be contaminated with mercury. Supplements or high-quality fish oil capsules could be an alternative if you do not consume enough fish.

3. Increasing nutrient levels

Eating healthy foods will provide several vitamins and nutrients. Supplements can also be beneficial for heart health. Especially if you eat nutritious food, exercise regularly, and managing stress.

He also recommends eating a balanced daily multivitamin include magnesium (400 mg), vitamin D (2,000 mg), and vitamin K (250 mcg). People with dilute blood should consult their doctor before increasing intake of vitamin K.

4. Reducing body fat

Obesity is a factor that drives their risk of heart disease. Therefore, to overcome the body fat also means overcoming heart disease, Dr. Masley said.

Excess body fat is not only improving cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels, but also produces inflammatory compounds. In turn, it will accelerate the formation of plaque in the coronary arteries. "Inflammation causes sticky blood, which can lead to heart attack or stroke," he said.

5. Improving fitness

"People who exercise regularly have 40 percent less risk for heart attack, stroke, and sudden deaths," said Dr. Masley. Strenuous exercise is very important for the prevention of heart disease. But some doctors recommend to their patients for mild exercise such as a short walk every day for heart health. But if you want to fight heart disease should exercise intensively.

He recommends aerobic exercise, strength training, and stretching for flexibility, with the intensity and length adjusted to the person's fitness level.
