Not all the people are fortunate enough to have a flawless complexion, most of them have to work hard to make it that way and try to maintain it.

Teen age is the most vulnerable age as far as the skin complexion is concerned. The body and mind goes through a transitive phase where we need to face so many changes.

These changes and adapting to new things in life gets reflected on the skin. Untimely and unhealthy food, inadequate water intake may affect the skin. But with following few routine activities your teenager child can keep a healthy, glowing skin.

Why Cleansing Is Needed for Healthy Glowing Skin?

Cleansing the skin properly & regularly does magic. Wash your face at least twice a day to keep the skin free of dirt and pollution. Washing the face especially the eyes, with cold water will refresh you. But don’t be over conscious and anxious to wash your face 10 times a day making it dry.

Choose Suitable Cleanser.

Try to avoid soap that makes the skin dry. An oil-free cleanser would be suitable for oily skin, whereas a dry skin needs soothing cleanser and an acne-fighting cleanser with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide for problem skin. Always remove the make-up before going to bed as make-up blocks skin pores causing acne.

How Does Exfoliating Helps in Skin Care?

Do exfoliate once a week to remove the dead skin cells. Again don’t overdo it. Exfoliating too often will only irritate your skin making it sensitive.

Is Moisturizing So Useful?

Do moisturize your face every day to keep your skin hydrated, soft and well-balanced.
Use the right moisturizer for your skin type. Use a light one for oily or problem skin, and a more intense one for drier skin.

Choose a sunscreen lotion with an SPF of 15 (at least!) every day.

Again please don’t overdo it. Using excessive moisturizer won’t work for anybody.

Which Skin Care Treatments Should be Chosen for Teenagers?

Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated at least 10 to 12 glasses each day.

Get plenty of sleep, minimum of eight hours. This relaxes your body and mind.

Last and the most important tip is not to pop pimples! Picking your pimples simply increases the problem causing additional pimples and scars on the skin. So, never ever touch the pimples.
