1. Avoid excessive shampooing with harsh chemicals such as lauryl sulfate, as this can irritate and dry out your scalp that causes more dandruff.

2. When you wash your hair with dandruff shampoo, give your dandruff shampoo time to work. Leave the shampoo at least 5 minutes before you rinse.

3. Brush your hair after you apply dandruff shampoo and rinse it. This will help natural oil in your scalp and hair distribute over the entire of surface of your head.

4. Avoid stress and eat healthily. Stress can cause dandruff, so it is a good idea if you try to manage your stress in other healthy and effective ways. What you eat has an impact on your body. Eat healthy by avoid fast food, sugary foods and fatty foods, because they often result in skin, scalp and hair problems.

6 natural remedies to get rid of dandruff

There are 6 natural remedies to get rid of dandruff that are easy to apply by your self at home.

1. Baby oil

Apply baby oil onto your scalp, give gentle massage on the scalp, cover your hair with a towel and leave it in overnight. Wash your hair with dandruff shampoo in the morning. Baby oil works as a conditioner when you are sleeping.

2. Coconut oil

Wash your hair without applies any conditioners. After your hair really dry, put coconut oil onto your scalp. Make sure it only apply on your scalp and then wash the coconut oil out of your scalp. Make sure you get it all out by wash your hair twice. Repeat this remedy once weekly until dandruff is gone.

3. Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil has fantastic smell and it is a natural antiseptic. Apply tea tree oil onto your scalp and leave for 5 minutes. And then rinse with water and repeat once per day. If you are difficult to get tea tree oil, you can apply shampoo with at least 5% tea tree oil have been shown to effectively treat dandruff.

4. Olive oil

Apply olive oil onto your scalp, leave it for 5-10 minutes before you washing your hair. Apply olive oil once more before you go to bed. It is a good idea if you wrap your head in a towel or cotton cap to absorb the oil. In the morning, you will find the dandruff is gone.

5. Lemon juice

Apply some lemon juice onto your scalp and hair. Make sure it distribute evenly. Leave it approximately 20-25 minutes to give time to the lemon juice to react. Lemon juice will make your scalp itchy, but don't worry, this is normal. Furthermore, wash your hair thoroughly. If required, use shampoo too.

6. Egg yolks

Mix egg yolks of 1 to 2 eggs. Apply onto your dry scalp. As much as possible place it onto the scalp area only. Cover your head with s plastic bag for preventing leaks and leave it on your scalp for 1 hour. Be careful, the egg has a bad smell. And then wash thoroughly with a good shampoo. You might have to wash your head twice to take it out.
