this page presents a brief statistic of the anxiety case in people, we have so many cases of anxiety that have not been diagnosed

statistics for anxiety

Mental illness is  familiar among  human populations. Anxiety  Statistics show that  In some cases, it possible to find that one in five (20%) of people within the age of 16-85 experience a mental illness in any year. Depression, anxiety and substance use disorder are the most commonly experienced cases and they come in a combined form to a single individual. This is mostly as a result of the person trying to take care of one condition then finds themselves engaging in actions that  relate to the other conditions. Out of the possible  20% of people with  a mental illness in a year, it is very common to find  11.5%  of them suffering from  disorder and the rest 8.5% experiencing either two or more disorders. It is not a strange occurrence to find that almost half (45%) of  a country’s population experience a mental illness in their lifetime.

Some anxiety statistics have revealed that the onset most mental disorders is commonly  around mid-to-late adolescence and  many youth who fall between the age of  (18-24 years old) have the highest prevalence of mental illness than any other age group. It is as well a common case to find that more than  one in every four (26%) young people go through cases of  mental illness every year. The most commonly known mental illnesses in young people in most countries are anxiety disorders which occur at the count of (14%), depressive disorders which are rated at (6%) and substance use disorders at the percentage of (5%). In attempt to come up with a more clear and accurate anxiety statistics, there has been alot of challenges with the blame being made on the legal implications the process has to the target individuals due to the claim that it may be aiming at a case that is not really anxiety related in nature.  That has lead to the coming up with a modern form of diagnosis which provides a very useful and reliable clinical procedures.

One such anxiety statistics was carried out in America where it was found that every one out of four adults which approximates to 61.5 million of Americans, was found to experience a form of a mental illness where as the same anxiety statistics found out that one in every 17 which is about 13.6 million are  living with a serious   mental illness for example cases of as schizophrenia, major depression  or even conditions of bipolar disorder. n the other hand, another anxiety statistics has revealed that an  approximate figure of  20 percent of youth ages 13 to 18 experience severe mental disorders in a  given year. But yet still, this does not mean that those below the above ages are excluded from experiencing anxiety, it has been found out that for the ages of  8 to 15, the estimate is 13 percent of those who go through anxiety related illnesses. 42 million people in the entire population of most countries live with anxiety disorders and some forms of phobias.
