Aerobic exercises target the heart and the lungs. It is an excellent form of cardio vascular exercises. It strengthens the heart muscles and improves lung capacity. It helps to lose weight, ease stress and helps to prevent many health conditions.

What is aerobic exercise?

Aerobic exercise involves the continuous and repeated movement of large muscle groups. These exercises mainly target the heart and the lungs. The heart and the lungs together form the cardio vascular system.

Aerobics is a very good form of cardio vascular exercise. Aerobic exercises strengthen the cardio vascular system by making the heart pump at a fast pace over a long period of time.

Examples of aerobic exercises -

Running, walking, swimming, rowing, jogging, cycling, skating, skiing, hiking, dancing

Aerobic exercises help to lead a long and healthy life.

Thirty minutes of aerobic exercises three times a week helps to keep you fit. Before starting any exercise program consult your doctor. Start slowly and gradually increase the pace of aerobic exercises

Always warm up before starting on any form of exercise. Stretch your muscles after exercising to help the muscles to relax and improve flexibility.
