We don’t have to panic on just seeing a mosquito. This article is about different species of mosquitoes and how they influence the public health.

Mosquito:Feeding

Mosquito is a common insect belonging to the family Culicidae. They resemble crane flies and chironomid flies, with which they are sometimes confused by the casual observer.

Mosquitoes’ mouthparts are adapted for piercing the skin of plants and animals. Majority of them feed on nectar and plant juices. Only some species, that too females, feed on the blood of mammals to obtain nutrients to produce eggs. Most mosquito species are crepuscular feeders (during dawn and dusk).

Diseases caused by mosquitoes

Mosquitoes are vector agent that carries disease-causing viruses and parasites from person to person. Well, they are not affected.

The viral diseases like yellow fever and dengue fever are the major mosquito borne diseases that are transmitted by the species Aedes aegypti.

Malaria is caused by the protozoan called Plasmodium vivax and is carried by the species Anopheles.

he rest of the mosquitoes are generally harmless and you do not have to panic on seeing a mosquito.

Keeping healthy environment and eradicating stagnant waters can stop mosquitoes from breeding.

Have a healthy life.

I also liked the way you arranged the photo. You might write an instructional piece on how you did that. Thank you for the information on Mosquitoes.

I doubt anyone enjoys weight loss due to dengue fever. Most patients with dengue fever lost a few pounds within a week, thanks to the stupid little mosquito.

Actually, there's not much to fear from male mosquitoes at all. Good article!
