Here we'll talk about some side effects of drugs medications and how to replace some medical drugs by herbs or alternative medicine.

What are the side effects of drug medication?

A side effect can be described as an undesirable secondary effect that occurs in addition to a desired curative effect of a certain medication. Side effects vary from one to another according to many factors such as health state, age, weight and gender.
Side effects might be also due to the dose which an individual take as it might be lower or higher than the required. Some side effects of drugs become severe, if the dosage is not adjusted. In some cases a second medication is described and some foods can be forbidden to minimize side effects.

Benefits of herbal medication

Do you know that pharmaceutics is based mainly on herbal medication. Some drugs that are prescribed by doctors today are synthetic versions of herbs which have side effects that aren't caused by natural herb medication. Herbal medications are more gentle on our bodies, and usually have fewer side effects. One of the reasons for this is that herbs used in alternative health remedies work gradually.

Asian ginseng can be used to reduce symptoms of menopause. Red clover may improve menopausal symptoms as well. It contains plant-based estrogens which reduces the risk of bone loss, and lowers the risk of heart disease. It improves blood pressure and increases HDL cholesterol which is a good cholesterol.

Robert Run; yes you're right. Some money makers don't care how much they harm people and get money out of their flesh and at the expense of their suffering.

I use herbal medications when I have a cold or sore throat, since antibiotics irritate the organism. You are putting you Chemistry know-how to good use. Nice sharing. Thank you again.

I use some herbal and especially homeopathic remedies for any issues. I swear by arnica, which has cleared my bruising up and is now working on my hematoma (car accident). It really does work (and I used to be a big skeptic) Great read, Kafsoa :D

I think there are many times a natural remedy is better. I'm currently using cinnamon to control my glucose levels. In conjunction with watching what I eat, it is having the desired effect.

Alternative medicines are good for people to look into -often far better (and cheaper) than trusting the drug companies.

You're right Mark. There was a recent case here, a company wasn't using the required amount of active substance in a medicine for curing from virus c. It's really hard for me to trust them any more.
