All deviations from our natural state of peace and bliss trace back to the ego. A process of erasing the ego leads to dispelling of all illusions, and reveals the true nature of the self, the world, and the interactions between the two. One then sees the latent potential and goodness of everything.

An arboreal harbor of secrets

Deep in the drop-hole of a giant oak,
A harbor of secrets, of many a wight and folk,
Eking out dashes of despondency and celebration,
In a cauldron of deathly serenity, and lively confrontation,
Hush! Here comes the scythe of darkness,
All-consuming, and stripping the I-harness,
A massacre if ever there was one,
Yet, of bloodshed there was none,
The holocaust brought forth a lotus-bloom on a scum-pond,
A reward of love, for the sacrifice of a vaporous glue-bond,
Rejoice, brother! A burnt rope can never bind,
Feast on the nectar, having cracked the rind,
What fun! What an illusion from which I am freed!
My vision reveals not a tree from a seed, but a tree in a seed!
