This is day fourteen since my back surgery and I feel like a new man. I was able to take a shower today with the doctor's permission of course. I am just not permitted to take tub baths as of yet.

Another Recovery Landmark Reached: I Took A Shower Today

It may not seem like a big deal to some of you but to me it is as big a deal as if i climbed Mt Everest. I was able to take a shower today, exactly two weeks after my back surgery. I am ever so grateful for the opportunity to take a shower because I was getting pretty funky. A sponge bath will only help so much. To get clean requires huge amounts of water and a sponge bath just doesn't provide that.

The good news is that I am completely off of the pain killers now, I have been off of them for three days.. I expected to have some cravings for then-m since I am a recovering addict but I haven;t had a craving of any kind. I know a lot of people are praying for me and the thought of that keeps me going too.I really appreciate you all for your support.
