This is a form of amino acid that reduces anxiety by promoting better sleep. They may include cheese, chicken, soy products, eggs, tofu, fish, milk, turkey, nuts, peanuts and peanut butter, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds.This is why alcohol and caffeine are highly discouraged due to the effects they to the system of sleep. The one surest anti-anxiety food is water, it has a relaxing effect to the body system. complex carbohydrates are also a reliable source of anti-anxiety foods. They are believed to increase the level of serotonin in the brain, which has a calming effect. Though complex carbs such as those found in whole grains have a positive effect on the body, avoid simple carbs like sugary foods. Chamomile tea is known for the curbing of anxiety symptoms. omega acids from vegetables should be replaced by omega 3 acids from oily fish.
