Aromatherapy; choosing an essential oil

Oils can be administered by way of the skin, with massage, the airways in inhalations and by the digestive track.
The use of oils in body massage is one of the most widely known aspects of aromatherapy. Our skin which is our largest organ absorbs the volatile oils, which are taken up selectively by the different tissues in the body. There is also an added benefit, since massage is soothing and relaxing.

Here are just some of the oils which can be used for massage, as well inhalants or added, three to four drops at a time into you bath.

Sandalwood
The sandalwood is native to India and it has to be at least 30 years old before its essential oil is fully developed. The oil is used to combat anxiety and to reduce nervous tension

Jasmine
Fact it takes eight million hand-picked jasmine flowers to make 2 pounds of the “absolute” from which the oil is made from.
It is used to aid relaxation and sleep it also helps in soothing anxiety

Lavender
This oil is used for its steadying influence on the nerves and as a relaxant. It is both used as massage oil and used two or three drops at a time as an inhalant.

Rosemary
Not for just cooking. The essential oil can lift exhaustion and stimulate the senses and can be used to aid concentration.

These are only a few of them to help you relax and enjoy the simple things that Mother Earth can offer you for comfort in your life!
You can always find a qualified practitioner for more advice of aromatherapy.
