Low-fat Foods can be Bad for You To

Low-Fat food are something many dieters turn to when they want to shed the extra pounds. However, before you buy you should no that some foods that say low fat on them are just as bad as food choices they would normally buy. A UK did a study to supports reported that companies remove the extra fat but add more sugar to the food to enhance the taste. Here are a list of foods that you might want fit into the low-fat but bad category.

Turkey Bacon
Turkey bacon is lower in fat but and has fewer calories but it still has its negatives. One type of turkey bacon that can be found on grocery store shelves are only has 35 calories and 3 grams of fat per serving. Center bacon,
the healthiest pork bacon has 60 calories and 3.5 grams of fat per serving. The turkey bacon is the best choice but their is a high amount of sodium and nitrates that makes it unhealthy.

Low-Fat Baked Goods
Many people love cakes and muffins and a low-fat option seems great but the baked goods have a few flaws to. Low fat-blueberry muffins have 280 calories full-fat muffins have a 380 calories. The low-fat version has fewer calories but more sugar.

Salads have been in the low-fat but still bad food category for years. If you eat those fat-free salad dressings you might want to eat more. Like the two food mentioned above the sugar is added to the salads an increase in blood sugar spikes and make you hungrier. A good thing about fat is it works with allows to soak in beta-carotene and lycopene, these two anti-oxidants can be found in tomatoes and red peppers.
