Botox is a non-surgical face-lift that even teenagers are considering to avoid wrinkles altogether. Most insurance companies consider this a cosmetic procedure and are not willing to pay for it.

Botox

Botox is the name used for the process of injecting Botox Cosmetic product into a patient. We discovered there are no medication alternatives to Botox. Botox is made and distributed by Allergan, Inc. There are however, alternative procedures for treating the lines between the eyebrows.

Botox is a non-surgical face-lift that provides alterations of facial skin by relaxing the muscles to reduce signs of aging. The procedure is minimally invasive and does not require an anesthesia. Many teenagers are opting to get Botox injection- as a preventative measure. They want to avoid wrinkles altogether in their future.

The neurotoxin used in Botox is a purified form of Clostridium botulinum protein. Botox molecules specifically target nerve fibers that release acetylcholine, which causes muscles to contract. Botox injections require a very small dose of botulinum in this procedure. It typically takes 3-7 days before the effects of a Botox injection is realized. The effects of the injections can last from 4 to 6 months, after that period of time the muscles gradually return to their original state. It is suggested that two to three weeks before receiving Botox injection, it is advised one should stop taking anti-inflammatory medications to reduce bruising.

The side effects of Botox can prove to be serious. The effects can range from an allergic reaction such as rash, itching, headaches, neck pain, and shortness of breath, difficulty swallowing and sensitivity to light among other things. Drooping eyelids can also occur. It would be wise to check with your health provider concerning serious side effect to the use of Botox.
Generally speaking Botox injections are not covered by insurance if they consider the injections to be primarily for cosmetic reasons. However, you probably should check with your insurance company to make sure. The average cost for Botox is about $425.00.

There is however, an alternative to Botox; the alternative is Natox.

Natox is like botox without needles or invasive surgery. Natox employs new and revolutionary technology, using 100% pure, organic ingredients that produce the appearance in your skin on par with Botox. Natox is not tested on animals.

Natox is superior to some other wrinkle and aging treatments. For example, Thermage (Therma Cool) is a non-invasive treatment that uses powerful radio frequency (RF) technology. This procedure may be called by a number of other names such as Thermal Lifting or Thermoplastic Contouring. Thermage skin tightening has minimal side effects. However, an anesthetic numbing cream may be applied one hour before the treatment. The national average cost for this treatment can run from $900 to $3500.00. Insurance does not cover this treatment. Some patients report the effects of the treatment can last from six months to two years or longer.

Titan Skin Tightening is another non-surgical facelift that uses radio frequencies. Titan laser treatment works by heating the natural water in your deepest layer of skin. This heat rises to a very specific temperature, which causes natural collagen production. This treatment averages about $800 to $1200 nationally. The treatment time is 15-60 minutes, depending on the area being treated. There are minimal side effects. There might be some redness, which will disappear after a short duration. This procedure is not covered by insurance.

Useful share, Ms. Ann, but not affordable for ordinary folks and the effects last for a short duration; also the side effects can be quite a handful! siva

Thanks Siva, The most significant beauty comes from the inside out and the most lasting. Women feel they must stay youthful looking to stay employed, I think. I may be wrong!
