Studies indicate that cells can kill acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
A famous hated vegetables by children contains a compound that can help treat childhood leukemia, so research suggests.

Laboratory tests showed that sulphorophane, found in broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables, can kill cells of acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Scientists exposed leukemia cells from healthy children and to a purified form of the compound.

Scientists exposed leukemia cells from healthy children and to a purified form of the compound.

While many of the cancer cells died, healthy cells were unaffected, "Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is a cancer of the white blood cells common in children.
"It is not a cure rate of 80%, but some children do not respond to treatment. For these cases, we are in need of alternative treatments."the sulphorophane could one day become a treatment option for leukemia along with other therapies.
