Cheerleading is entertaining to watch and enjoy but it is very dangerous to perform in an acrobatic style!

Cheerleading is art with many skills

Cheerleading is an entertaining art that is combination of dance, acrobatics, circus and sport.

It involves jumping, tumbling, cheering, stunts and tosses into the air.

Cheerleaders exhibit great competitive spirit as the players perform in their team spirit. Their skills are dangerously risky.

Cheerleaders work hard to learn all the skills to rev up the viewers. They risk their life and perform with a smile.

Pain behind the smile!

There is always great pain behind that enchanting smile of a cheerleader.

When a cheerleader is tossed up, the safety is totally ignored as the crowds cheer up with astonishment and joy.

There have been many fatal accidents in cheerleading.

Most commonly reported injuries include sprained or twisted wrists and ankles, damaged knees.

Strained spines, damages to head or neck can lead to permanent disability of the cheerleaders.

The dangerously entertaining cheerleading

Cheerleading is one of the most dangerous profession for the women and teenage girls also.

The excitement of cheerleading pushes the adrenalin up, and the cheerleader appears to be enjoying the toss when thrown up, but the risk is as high as the height of the toss itself.

The stunts performed by cheerleaders are more dangerous than the circus feats. In circuses, the artists perform at heights with the safety nets tied for a safe fall. But the cheerleader has to perform without any personal protection and safety.

All hard work for a living!

Accidents and injuries in Cheerleading are proportionally attributable to the number of young women who engage themselves in this sport.

The rise in the hurtful injuries to the cheerleaders relate to the difficulty level of the acrobatic routines they perform.

And the new generation cheerleaders experiment with some complex acrobatics to be more skillful than the veterans.

The smiles we see on the joyous faces of a cheerleaders are not real. They learn to act cheerfully smiling only to entertain the crowds of the viewers.

Their families wait for their safe return as the cheerleaders work in such a dangerously arousing gimmicks for the sake of a livelihood.

I admire those ladies being thrown in the air and people cheering, but those cheerleader's family - who's breaths also are hanging in the air,or maybe their heart even stopped beating for a while until the show is over.

Those ladies looks like rug dolls, with life always in danger in every performance.

Good day :)

You can say that again, my friend. It's a lethal feat in itself.

My sister was a cheeleader in high school and she dislocated her shoulder, while doing a flip. Yes, it can be very dangerous. This is a well written piece of work and great presentation. Congrats on the star page, it is well deserved. As always, thank you for sharing.:)

Great stuff. I always think of cheerleading as a sport. Because, for sure, you need to be an ATHLETE to do this successfully. Love the images too.
