The team analyzed the consumption of coffee and tea among people enrolled in a national study initiated in 1982. Among 968,432 men and women who were free of cancer at enrollment, 868 died of cancer of the mouth and throat during 26 years of follow up.

the coffee should be drunk in moderation: preferably no more than 3 cups per day (400 mg to 450 mg ).

Coffee contains more antioxidants. Given the frequency of its use, it can contribute significantly to the antioxidant capacity of the diet and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and some cancers.
