Cold is common. It need not make you embarrassed or empty your energy of life. Cold is to mould your health and strengthen your immunity power. You can solve this common cold problem easily with home remedies or herbs that are commonly found around you.

Combat your cold with some common remedies

Cold affects all. It is the companion of winter. That is why it is described as common cold. You can heal cold in seven days by taking all sorts of medicines or it will say goodbye to you naturally through your own body system. There are a lot of common remedies as well as drugs around the world to solve this common cold.

Of course, common cold cannot be neglected as something common. It is an infection telling you that something is wrong in your health system. It tells you about an infection that you caught recently. It tells you that your battery of immunity has gone down. Do not worry, whatever it may be. If you are sure that it is just an infection, you may treat it with the common remedies that are available around you.

When cold is neglected and your body does not have enough power to resist the cause of that cold, it may lead you to cough with a peculiar sound that may sound like your guts are up. It is the symptom that the infection is spreading out of control. In fact, cold is caused by more than 200 viruses for which just one vaccine may not be enough. That is why it is not relieved even by taking some antibiotics.

Combat your cold with some common remedies

1) Clear your nasal stuffiness with steam therapy

This is the easiest and the most ancient therapy. Inhale the steam that comes up when you boil herbal leaves such as echinacea, eucalyptus –or peppermint in water. The heat of the steam can clear your nose and loosen the phlegm in chest. It can reduce a sore throat, if there is any.

2) Enjoy drinking a hot tea when you have cold

Enjoy drinking a hot tea with herbs such as ginger, black pepper, garlic or other herbal leaves which are good for cold. Drinking diluted vegetable juice with honey or a soup also will help you greatly.
Drink them often by taking two or three sips. Hot herbal teas act as natural decongestants and are soothing to the throat.

Gargle and wash

3) Gargle with warm salt water

Gargling is an effective remedy for cold. Blow your nose well, wash your face and gargle with warm water. Gargling with hot water and salt clears the mouth and relieves the hoarse throat.

4) Massage therapy gives an easy relief

People of modern days are confused with the word “massage therapy”. It is the most natural action that you do when you have any pain. Massaging your forehead, temples, chest and neck with essential oils such as eucalyptus, peppermint,or menthol gives good relief from cold and flu.

Cold is a good symptom of health as a timely warning to boost your immunity. It need not perplex you. Combat your cold with common remedies and enjoy your life as usual.
