Living a healthy and fit lifestyle is the key to a long, enjoyable and quality life. Living by these daily habits will assure you a healthy and fit body, mind and soul.

Common Daily Health Tips

I plan to live to be 106 years old. For some reason, that number sounds good to me and I am sure by then I will have accomplished most things I set out in my life to do, and I will be ready to move on to the next adventure.

No matter how old you are, you can start now and commit to living by certain daily habits that will keep your body, mind a soul healthy and fit.

Positive outlook on life

Having a positive attitude about life is the beginning and the start of healthy living. We have all had tragedies, problems, hard times happen to us but keeping a good attitude about it, moving on, and not living in the past will keep your attitude in check.

Setting goals

How long do you want to live? What do you want to accomplish in life? Setting goals is a crucial part of our existence because if we have nothing to live or work for in our lives, then we break down, get sick and give up. Remember, if you are not growing, you are dying.


The saying that "you are what you eat" is true. We have to take a good look at our diets and adjust where it is necessary. A good rule of thumb is to feed your body quality foods every two to three hours with portions no bigger than your own fist and drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Junk food and snacks

Let us face the fact that giving up so-called junk food forever is crazy. If you feel like having a bowl of ice cream, by all means, have a bowl of ice cream. If you want a piece of cake once in awhile, then go ahead and have a piece of cake. Just remember, that these foods are meant as a treat and for giving you a little pleasure of enjoying something sweet every so often and not as an everyday food.


Our bodies are perfect machines built for activity, work and exercise. Make sure you do some sort of moderate movement everyday and exercise rigorously at least three times a week. You will be amazed at how you will feel and how your body will change for the better after the first week.

Your soul

Everyone has inside of them a light, or the spirit or a soul that responds to truth and all that is good. This light teaches us right and wrong through emotion. Emotion is the most powerful teaching tool we have to guide and direct us through life. Keeping the light safe and in good working order requires that you feed your soul spiritual things through prayer, reading good books, listening to beautiful music and many other things that are pleasing to the spirit. Do not desensitize yourself with vices, drugs and alcohol, dishonesty and all the other things that tear down the human spirit.


Life is full of challenges and accomplishments, difficulties and easiness, mistakes, happy times and sad times. All these things will give us experience, and as we grow older and wiser, we will set patterns and habits of living so make sure you keep on a good pathway of wholesome living.

May we all live to be 106 years old and live the life we see in our dreams by living a healthy and fit lifestyle.
