For keeping good health, we should do regular physical exercise. Physical exercise keeps the body and mind fit.

Unbalanced diet causes malnutrition

For keeping good health, we should eat a balanced diet containing required amounts of all the essential nutrients like carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals and vitamins. We should also take adequate quantities of water, and roughage – rich foods like salad. Unbalanced diet causes malnutrition.

For keeping good health, we must breathe clean air. This because pure air is essential for good health. Pure and clean air is becoming a luxury item these days, especially in big cities. This is because, in big cities, air pollution is caused by the exhaust fumes of motor vehicles; smoke emitted by the chimneys of factories; fumes (gases) emitted by industrial units; and dust. Breathing of air polluted with all these pollutants cause chronic respiratory problems. We must drink clean and fresh, free from bacteria.
For keeping good health, we must eat clean and hygienic food. The various food materials like fruits and vegetables should be washed properly with clean water before eating or cooking. This is necessary because fruits and vegetables bought from the market usually have a coating of poisonous chemicals called pesticides. They may also carry some micro – organisms and worms. Proper washing of fruits and vegetables removes all these things. The washed fruits vegetables should be stored in a clean, cool dry, fly – proof place to prevent their spoilage.

For keeping good health, we should maintain personal hygiene like taking bath regularly with soap and water, changing clothes regularly and washing hands properly before taking meals. If we do not bathe everyday or change clothes everybody then due to dirty conditions, the growth of micro – organisms takes place due to which our body as well as the clothes begin to give foul smell. These micro – organisms nay cause many diseases particularly those related to the skin. It is also very important to wash the hands properly with soap and clean water every time before eating food or after visiting toilet.

We should avoid bad habits of chewing tobacco and smoking tobacco. Must avoid the drinking alcohol and taking drugs.

For keeping good health, we should do regular physical exercise. Physical exercise keeps the body and mind fit. Though exercise is necessary for all people but it is all the more important for sedentary workers (the persons who work mostly sitting). Proper relaxation or recreation is also necessary to get relief from the strain of every – day life and keep good mental health. In addition to all these, regular, adequate and undisturbed sleep is also essential for keeping good health.
