A look at controlling hunger while dieting and how it can effect the overall success of your weight loss regime.

The Hunger Games!

A lot of people seem to have problems with controlling hunger while dieting and fail as a result of this. The initial few weeks of a diet are never the happiest of times and having that hungry feeling hanging over your head tends to make matters a lot worse.

So what can be done about this? Is there any way to be controlling hunger while dieting that doesn't involve an expensive guide? Sure there is but the simple techniques must be followed with dedication to be in any way successful.

Most of the problems that arise when controlling hunger while dieting come through the lack of a decent breakfast. You would be amazed the amount of people that decide they can do without a breakfast while dieting. You will also be amazed at the amount of people who think this is going to help their diet!

This is in effect starving yourself first thing in the morning - this is not a diet this is counter productive! When you starve yourself your body goes into self defense mode and actually starts storing your fat reserves - do you think this is going to aid any sort of diet?

So we arrive at the old saying - "breakfast is by far the most important meal of the day". So, so true when it comes to controlling hunger while dieting and reaching successful weight loss. Problem is people are very much stuck in their ways - they don't like change.

But change is what you need if you want to be controlling hunger while dieting. I know most of you are used to a traditional breakfast but that has to change. Cereal isn't really going to fill the gap for long enough on a diet - which is why I always turn to a eggs.

Eggs are so easy in the mornings and always seem to fill the gap. Now I'm not talking about frying up some eggs here - we're talking about scrambled eggs! It doesn't matter where you are you can always find a microwave and crank out a scrambled egg breakfast. I find they are a perfect speedy breakfast when at work.

So your breakfast ideas are now sorted - what about controlling hunger while dieting for the rest of the day? Unfortunately hunger leads to snacking and snacking leads to a pretty lousy set of diet results. A simple way to snack and stick to a diet is by using raw ( and if possible cold ) carrots. I constantly use carrots throughout the day to combat hunger and they are perfect for the job. I find they fill the gap and if you pay enough for the produce - they give a little sweet kick as well!
