Cosmetic Dentistry

The process of taking proper care of your teeth is not as simple as brushing them regularly and visiting your dentist for the basic checkups. Your smile usually affects your entire appearance, and the way you associate and interact with those around you. Luckily, there are many known cosmetic dentistry procedures that are designed to go beyond the basic dental care, ensuring patients have a smile that they can wear with confidence.

What is involved in cosmetic dentistry?

Starting from teeth whitening procedures, cosmetic dentistry also ranges to other complex procedures and operation such as gum surgery. Therefore, the extent of the procedure usually depends on the amount of work required to achieve the desired result on your teeth. Some of the procedure includes:
Contouring: This is the procedure used to correct crooked teeth. Sometimes teeth are irregularly shaped or are overlapping, in which case one can get them reshaped using the contouring procedure. With this process your teeth can be returned to their original, beautiful appearance.
Bonding: This is special procedure in which a specific material is used to fill the gaps in your teeth. The procedure also gets rid of the discoloration on the teeth that have been chipped or stained.
Crowns: this is usually done when one wants a complete change in the appearance of their teeth. It is done as a last resort since they are mainly a restorative procedure.

Why visit the cosmetic dentist?

The procedure that you choose to be done by the cosmetic dentist is usually aimed at leaving you feeling better, and full of confidence. Your local cosmetic dentist is always the best way to make sure that your smile not only looks its best, but is as healthy as can be. Visit your dentist today and find out which procedure is best for you!
