Curd has always been admired for its high nutritional value. Below I have listed some of the benefits of curd.

Curd and Health

Since ages, curd has been consumed for its nutritional properties as well as used for beauty treatments. Curd contains certain enzymes which are good for keeping your body cool during summers. Curd is also good, especially when eaten with rice, for gastric and other digestive disorders. When applied on your skin, curd makes it lustrous and fairer. Curd is also applied on the scalp to remove dandruff. It is also rich in proteins, vitamins and calcium. It is a good supplement for milk as it contains no trans fats or cholesterol. Curd can also be had during fever as per doctor's recommendation. Having curd daily is a healthy eating habit and it is no doubt an essential part of a balanced diet especially in tropical countries.
