Getting rid of dark circles under the eyes is important, as beauty is a crucial aspect in many human beings. Some wrinkles on the face are because of dark circles that appear on the eyes. Here are ways on how to get rid of dark circles under your eyes.
Eating healthy is crucial to avoid dark circles around the eyes. Swollen eyes result from eating junk food. A healthy meal should comprise of vegetables like spinach and cabbage. Deficiencies in vitamins B12 and K could result to dark circles. Avoid taking salt as this leads to accumulation of water in areas on the body e.g. the eyes. Salt will also cause abnormal circulation of fluids resulting to blue skin.
Allergens are a component of allergies. Treating the allergens with over the counter drugs helps to curb the allergy. Deficiency in folic acid, vitamins B12 and B6 are common in individuals with allergies. Some people are allergic to chemicals or food. Visiting a dermatologist will help to identify the type of allergy. Celiac disease is common in people allergic to wheat flour. This may cause puffy eyes or dark circles.
Inadequate sleep causes poor circulation of blood around the eyes. This also causes the skin around the eyes to appear pale resulting in dark circles. Removing makeup before going to bed also helps. Certain impurities may attach themselves on the skin especially around the eyes. Bathing before going to bed helps to eliminate the impurities.
Drinking less water triggers dehydration. Water is essential in transporting nutrients around the body. It also improves skin tone, brightens the eyes and increases energy levels in the body.
Relaxation helps get rid of dark circles. Anxiety and stress prevent an individual from relaxing, eating and sleeping. Relaxing will help to relax the skin around the eyes hence preventing puffiness and black circles.
Cucumbers cut into small pieces and placed on the eyes can help stop dark circles. This works best with eyes closed and in a relaxing position. Perform this for 10-15 minutes every day. Tannin is a component found in tea and helps stop discoloration and swelling around the eyes. Ice cubes and tea bags tied in a cloth and placed on the eyes, work best when cold. This is also performed for 10-15 every day. Place refrigerated spoons on the eyes when cold for 15 minutes and remove only when warm.
Visit a doctor in case the puffiness does not go away. This is because fluid under the eyes might be an indication of kidney and thyroid ailments.
