I love Dr. Oz cabbage soup for weight loss! Like everyone I was skeptical and have had hurdles along the way and expect more to come but I am happy with my progress thus far! I have exercised off and on. More off than on lately! I feel great and have more energy! I am committed to the product and the lifestyle changes I am making! As of today I am down 12 pounds and 31.75 inches! My weight is shifting downward and I figured that would happen with all the tummy weight. I am going to start tightening up spots I don't like! It's Zuma time for the Wii and treadmill. I can't wait to try on clothes again! I went yesterday and found that for tops I am out of plus sizes and I have yet to try on bottoms! I need new bras though! To bad! If you are just starting remember nothing happens overnight! Stick with it and it will payoff! You have to commit! It will happen just hang in there!

This recipe is vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, sugar and dairy free
Low calorie, low salt, high protein

Ingredients (makes 8 - 10 serves)
Tip: you can either finely dice or course chunky cut the veggies

1 Bunch of Celery including tops
3 Large Carrots
2 Capsicums (Bell Peppers) mix it up red, green, yellow to add color
2 Onions, Red, Brown, White also to add color
2 cabbages
Garlic to taste (2 - 6 cloves)
2 Liters (3 pints) of Good Quality Low Salt Vegetable Stock
1 Can Diced Tomatoes
1 Can Borlotti Beans
1 Can Red Kidney Beans
1 Can Broad Beans
1 Can 5 Bean Mix
1 Packet of Soup Starter Mix (Beans, Peas and Pulses)
500gms (1lb) Baby Spinach Leaves


1. Add stock to a large stockpot and place on stove top to start heating.
2. Rinse soup starter mix thoroughly and add to stock.
3. Add Canned Tomatoes.
4. Cut up all vegetables and add to mix with the firmer vegetables going in first.
5. Bring pot to the boil then turn down and simmer until all vegetables are cooked to your liking.
6. Whilst your soup is cooking drain and rinse all beans add them to the soup during the last 5 minutes of cooking time.
7. Add spinach leaves just before serving.

Similar to my ma's diet soup. V8 base was the difference. It works!
