When the seasons change from summer to fall that means cold weather is on the way but we will have plenty of fruits and vegetables to choose from. Fall is the harvest season for many crops.

Apples
Apples are harvested for August thru November and wilk work well in your diet for fall. Persons who like apples can make a tasty pie, tart, or eat it raw. In addition, the apple has 4 grams of your fiber in just one serving.

Cauliflower
Cauliflower is picked from September thru June and has manybhealth benefits to choose from. If you enjoy this popular fall crop you have a good reason to. The health benefits you can expect to recieve are cancer prevention thanks to the carbons found in it's compounds, lower cholestrol thanks to it's phytonutrients, and a good source of vitamin C.

Sweet Potato
The sweet potato is a popular vegetable during Thanksgiving, here in the United States. The vegetable can be turned into a puree and pies among other popular dishes. The health benefits found in the sweet potato are the vitamin A, iron, and anti-inflammtory benefits.

Grapefruit
The grapefruit is known for having a sour taste but it still worth eating. For those how love the sour tasting fruit the health benefits they may receive are vitamun C and lower cholesterol. You can see this fruit growing in your garden from September thur April.

I want to remind people of the importance of buying organic fruits and vegetables too, or even growing their own.

I always talked about starting a potted garden, I just haven't got around to it. I need to do some research and start soon.
