Why Facebook growing too fast ? and what its benefit for us ?

Facebook Inc. On Facebook, I'm connected to a lot of people who are not my friends. But Facebook is already well beyond that point. The average Facebook user has 229 "friends" on the site, so it stands to reason that a significant portion of these friends are not "high quality.

When Facebook was founded in 2004, it began with a seemingly innocuous mission: to connect friends. What if Facebook could become wiser? Separate out the fluff and strengthen the important relationships.

Great social objects are also easy to share. In The Social Network, Movie Mark Zuckerberg describes his project as the entire college social scene, put online.

Social media can be so rewarding, that it overwhelms our ability to focus on other things. Our brain has terribly weak circuitry for inhibiting impulses, especially impulses that look delicious. For decades, food marketers have used this poor impulse control against us, to the point that there are now literally more people overweight than starving in the world , in large part due to empty calories that are all too readily available.

This Is the Greatest Thing Facebook's Ever Done:
Timeline is an enormous leap for social networking per se, and an invaluably illuminating testament to what humans are making themselves every day. It's exciting, comforting, and friendly. Timeline is you.
