There are many ways you can change your fitness level, it takes more than just exercise.

Fitness is influenced by your actions. Each person can change their level of fitness by implementing change and living a healthy lifestyle. People will vary in their fitness level depending on commitment and genetics. Working out can have a positive effect in so many ways: diabetes, obesity, COPD and many more conditions. This will tremendously affect your fitness level.

Change your routine

While working out it is important to change your routine every six weeks. Your body needs to be kept guessing. In order to do this, altering your work out is the key to success. When you do your weight lifting routine, increase your weights when doing 10-12 reps becomes too easy. Try doing different weight bearing exercises than you have been doing.

When doing cardio exercises don’t keep with one type of cardio exercise. Change it up every few weeks. Add intervals to your cardio workout. Putting a few sprints into your routine will help increase your cardio level.

Many people do not realize that eating healthy makes a big difference in your fitness level. Whether it is to become a marathon runner or lose weight, choosing the right foods will help you make a change. When trying to lose weight changing the way you eat is imperative. Adding more fruits, vegetables and grains is necessary. Eating smaller meals and more frequently will assist you achieving your goal.

If you are training for a race, the correct fueling of your body is imperative. You need to get the correct amount of protein and carbohydrates for maximum results. Fueling up the days before the race with sodium and electrolytes will give you more stamina for race day.

Staying active

Being an active person can change your fitness level. Sitting on the couch in front of the television will cause your body to become complacent. By staying active it will help you be strong and better your fitness.

Take a walk or bike ride more often. Play outdoor games with your children. Make this a habit instead of forcing yourself to be active. Having fun can keep you in better shape and keep your lifestyle healthy.

Living healthy

People who live a healthy lifestyle are more fit. Living a fit lifestyle is not dieting or making you work out. You want to change the way you think and your way of living. Choose activity and healthy foods and your fitness will tremendously improve.

I really thought it was great when you said to change the routine every 6 weeks. This also works well with the change of the seasons too, doing different things as fitting to climate changes in an area.
