Cycles come every month with unbearable pain for most of the women. Some find it difficult to go out and work while others rely on pain killers and stay at home. We might have mood swings and feel low and depressed when cycles take place. But we need to get over this. While it’s not very easy, we can, for sure try small things to get over these symptoms. We can eat right and stay happy even when menstruating.
We want comfort and easiness at such times. Though most of the women prefer hot drinks and hot compresses on the belly, pairing carbohydrates with protein is good which in turn stabilises the blood sugar. So, you can go for an ice cream outing.
Brown rice, barley and veggies are high-fibre dishes that will keep away constipation. When progesterone peaks, the bowel slows down so you need to stay energetic by the intake of these foods.
Have what you like but prefer to stay away from heavy foods. Fruits and vegetables are good for health and will keep up the required energy during your PMS.
