Last year over a million and a half people were diagnosed with some form of cancer. People have stopped to think about whether the food they eat contains carcinogens and affect their health.

Processed White Flour

After processing, white flour not only does it loses nutrients, but it is also chemically bleached with chlorine gas. The Organization for Environmental Protection characterized this  gas as hazardous, irritating and potentially deadly.

Microwave-made Popcorns

Everybody loves a tasty bag of popcorn. Unfortunately, bags of microwave popcorn is coated with perfluorooctanoic acid, a chemical that is also found in Teflon.

Studies have shown that this chemical can be linked with infertility of women and increased risk of cancer of the kidney, bladder, liver and pancreas.

Artificial Sweeteners

If you are trying to avoid sugar, if you are on a diet or have diabetes, you may use artificial sweeteners. However, many studies have shown that people generally gain weight when they use and it is more difficult to control blood sugar. Further studies indicated that some of the sweeteners contain a toxin called Diketopiperazine DKP, which may be a cause of developing brain tumor.

Processed Meat Products

Most meat products such as hod-dogs, bacon and sausages, contain excessive amount of salt and chemicals. Studies have shown that people who regularly eat processed meat have 43% higher chance of premature death.

Potato Chips

Many people eat it as a snack, but the negative effects far outweigh the short-term satisfaction. Rich in fat and calories, chips can be responsible for various diseases of the heart.

Red Meat

Small amounts of red meat in the diet can be very good for your health, but if consumed daily, may increase the risk of cancer.
So it’s best to avoid processed meat, and to limit red meat to no more than twice a week. Switching to fish, chicken, nuts, or beans in place of red meat can improve cholesterol levels and can lower the risk of heart disease and diabetes
