General fitness means staying healthy physically and mentally. It indicates your overall health situation. Fitness is a must for health. General fitness means having a perfect body weight, fresh mind and a correct ability to do physical activity in a normal way.

Some physical concern like losing weight and general physical activities like running, swimming or walking at a limited pace to increase heart rate and increase oxygen flow through the whole body are referred to general fitness. These activities also include cardiovascular exercises. Doctors and specialists also recommended increasing physical activity improve health condition.

General fitness includes workout like open walking, cardiovascular walking or brisk walking. All these forms of walking tune your legs and arms and make the muscles groups ready to use in other activities like doing the regular task and other sports. These activities keep a great impact to your good health and a good health is very much expected from all people. An overall good health reduces the risk of disease which is related to our lifestyles like heart disease or diabetes. This is general fitness works to keep us healthy.

With the physical activities, general fitness also helps us to improve our mental outlook in life. It creates a sense of wellbeing and increases our confidence. There’s a talking that a healthy person is naturally more confident than the weak one. The person who has confident can do his daily task very easily and he enjoys his life. General fitness helps you to achieve a perfect body weight and better bone density and helps you to reduce extra fat and improves your blood circulation and heart function. Besides this, improves circulation will help you to regulate your cholesterol and blood pressure. Regular workout boosts our immune system and helps our body to heal itself own.

How will you understand that you haven’t exercised too much and you are exercising in a limited way? The American College of Sports Medicine says that one should perform cardiovascular workout at least 20 minutes per session and minimum three times per week. But we are not that fit and we should have workout at least 30 minutes per session every day. You can perform a healthy amount of cardiovascular exercise like jogging, walking or running etc.

It is very important that you should do your regular exercise perfectly and keep your muscle challenged. You can set your fitness goal and work to achieve it. If you keep yourself fit, you will be healthy both physically and mentally. This will increase your willpower and make your lifestyle better. After all, we all are agreeing with that, better health means a better life. So, keep yourself fit and healthy.
