Fear of pain is the most common reason why most people stay away from doctors and hospitals. This is especially true in the case of visiting a dentist or an orthodontist. People are ready to live with the sickening pain but they are reluctant to go see a doctor. Though it can’t be said that the procedures are totally pain-free, going to a specialist is the only way to find long term relief.

Orthodontics Treatment

Fear of pain is the most common reason why most people stay away from doctors and hospitals. This is especially true in the case of visiting a dentist or an orthodontist. People are ready to live with the sickening pain but they are reluctant to go see a doctor. Though it can’t be said that the procedures are totally pain-free, going to a specialist is the only way to find long term relief. The technological advances have made most of the procedures relatively less painful.
Painless orthodontic procedures
With medical and technological advances shooting up, there are several procedures that have become painless and easily manageable. Some of them are:
Buck teeth: It is also referred to as overbite. This is a dental problem that is corrected by orthotists. In this condition, the patient has the upper front teeth over the lower teeth.
Under bite: This is a problem where the sufferer has a bulldog appearance because the lower teeth are very forward. This can also happen if the upper teeth too far in the back.
Cross bite: To make up a perfect bite, the upper teeth have to cover up the lower teeth. This should be very slight. However, if it doesn’t happen normally, then the patient is said to have Cross bite. This is corrected through orthodontic procedures.
