Traveling is an essential part of life. It makes you healthy, physically and mentally. It frees you from the stress of home and office, providing you a surefire way to keep your sanity.

Traveling is natural medication

Traveling is health. It is natural medication. The health benefits of travel are as extensive as the vast universe itself. It frees you from your compressed emotions and stress of life. It is an escape from the boring daily chores and stressful office life. Traveling gives you a healthy break and a refreshed and energetic life. Don't think it is a waste of money. Rather it is a healthy saving from unnecessary medications.

Health benefits of traveling

1) Relief from stressful life
Modern life is too busy to stop to breathe. Man is actually craving for a break in life to rest a while and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Traveling is a relief from this stress. It takes you to a new world free from your stress and tension.

2) Traveling is a good rest
"A change is as good as a rest" is a reliable truth derived out of experience. Traveling of any kind provides you with a break from the routine monotonous life. It can infuse in you fresh energy. It can also prevent your mind and body from stagnating.

Traveling refreshes you

3) Fills your lungs with oxygen
Traveling outdoors can fill you with fresh air. On the lap of mother nature you can breathe deeply re-oxygenating your blood. Her natural breeze brings you soothing and medicated energy. Playing and swimming in new surroundings can bring fresh enjoyment to your body.

4) Makes you emotionally happier
Enjoying the outdoors through traveling fills your mind with rejuvenated energy. Sightseeing appeases all your senses and fills you with imagination. According to Seneca, the philosopher of the first century voyage, travel and change of place impart new vigor. Visiting colorful scenic places, tasting international culinary delights, and trying exhilarating activities outdoors can do much good for your emotional and mental health.

5) Traveling is good for heart health
Medical experts suggest traveling to protect cardiovascular health. They recommend long trips at least once in six months can do good to heart health. Researches say that traveling reduces blood pressure and cholesterol and also checks the levels of epinephrine, a stress hormone that causes heart problems.

6) Traveling gives good physical exercise and sleep
Reports say that traveling provides ample opportunities for physical exercises and burn your calories. It can improve your stamina while having much fun through moving about. Surveys show that traveling also gives peaceful rest and sleep.

Traveling provides you natural treatment to keep your body and mind healthy. Mother Nature acts as a kind therapist while you visit her vast hospital without walls.

Interesting ideas--sometimes true, but not always, I think. Depends on where you travel and if you encounter unforeseen circumstances or difficult situations. traveling in India, for example, is not always 'relaxing' LOL

True. But at the same time it has been a part of Indian culture from ancient days. Thank you dear sister.

Very novel ideas. And so well-written, sir.
Please forgive me if I don't comment any (or much) more until December. Novel writing Month has taken over my life. Thanks for being such a great wikinut friend.

A lovely article. Now my heart longs for a journey as soon as possible. Alas! My finances are still to be set in order for me to accomplish this.
