Everyone hates acne, it's a pain and it can scar your face and body. Here are somethings I picked up as a teenager and things passed on to me by friends and family that have battled acne and won. I hope this helps you out, as these remedies are much cheaper then prescription or over the counter acne treatments.

Home Remedies - Acne

It might just be me, but acne was the worst part of being a teenager. It seemed to pop up at the worst times, like right before a dance, date, or public outing. I even know some adults that are still fighting with it to this day. While acne dose not cause pain, it can cause a lack of self confidence and make you feel very embarrassed. So I put these remedies out there and hope it helps in advance.

Grape Cleanser - Grab a few grapes from your fridge, and you got a facial cleanser. Cut two or three grapes in half and rub the flesh of the grape over your face and neck, follow the above by washing your face with cool water.

Cut out all dairy from your diet. You would be surprised to find out dairy plays a major role in your skin. Cut out dairy for a few weeks and see for yourself.

Drinking green tea will put antioxidants into your system and as we all know antioxidants are good for your skin and will help fight acne.

Oatmeal is naturally soothing to the skin and by making a oatmeal mask, it can help clear acne as well. All you need to do is mix together 2-3 teaspoons of oatmeal, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and enough water to make a paste. Apply the paste all over your face and gently rub it in. Leave the mixture on for 5 minutes and then rinse it off.

Washing your face 2-3 times a day will help keep your face dirt and oil free.

Never go to sleep with make up on, this will irritate your face and can cause acne.

Apply toothpaste to your zits before you go to sleep, leave it on over night and wash off in the mourning. Toothpaste will help draw dirt and infection out of your zits. If do this every night for 2-3 nights you should see results.

Take a Vitamin E gel cap and bust it open, apply the gel to your zits. Vitamin E is good for the skin and helps with all kinds of things, such as acne, wrinkles, and blemishes.

Blend one small cucumber and 1 cup of oatmeal into a paste, Then mix 1 teaspoon of this paste with 1 teaspoon of yogurt and apply it to your face. Leave it on for 30 minutes, and then rinse. This will sooth your face and draw out dirt, infection, and oil.

You can also use a lemon, honey, and egg mask. This is a great general acne home remedy that can boost any skin type. Mix together the juice from half a lemon and one egg white, as well as one tablespoon of honey. Apply mixture to your face, and leave the mask on overnight while you sleep. Wash it off in the mourning, you should start seeing results in a week or so.

Oily skin is prone to acne, and this remedy can reduce excess oil and clear acne. 2 teaspoon of brewer's yeast with a little plain yogurt to create a thin mixture. Apply it to all the oily areas on your face and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water; then cold water to close the pores.

You can buy PCA Skin Blemish Control bar at most drug stores, it has sulphur in it and sulphur is really good for your skin. You should see results in 3-4 days and virtually no skin imperfections in a few weeks.

I posted a bunch off different things, as one remedy may not work for everyone. So try a few and see if it works. I hope this helps you in your battle with acne and good luck! Also this is meant to help with acne, should the problem get out of your control, please consult a doctor.

The funny part is I got a few more to post. Then I am gonna start working on some Gnostic stuff, as well as posting some of my poetry. So keep an eye out for that stuff over the next few weeks.
