Home remedies for Swollen Gums

Swollen gums are the first stage of periodontal disease. It is also known as gingivitis, or inflammation of the gums. Here are some simple home remedies for sore gums

Salt + Warm Water

Add 1 tablespoon of salt in a cup of warm water and gargle your mouth with the solution. Do this at least 3 times a day, this will reduce gum swelling. Make sure you rinse your mouth with fresh water once you are done.

Brush your teeth

Make sure you brush your teeth properly after every meal, you need to brush your gums as weel. Use a good toothbrush and toothpaste and also make sure to use a good mouthwash and floss.

Lemon +Warm water

Add lemon juice to a glass of warm water and gargle with it. Do this once a day. You can also add a tablespoon of honey to the solution.

ICE

Gently massage your gums with ice cubes to numb the pain.
