How to meditate?

Fix a time to meditate and follow the schedule. Start with two minutes and slowly increase the time that you meditate.

Sit comfortably in a place that you feel you can practice meditation. You can sit cross-legged on the floor on a yoga mat or sit on a chair or a sofa.

You can practice meditation in a quiet room in your house where you will not be disturbed. You can sit on a park bench or on the beach sands to meditate. Select a place that you feel that you can meditate.

Close your eyes and focus on your breath.

Inhale slowly and fill your lungs with air and exhale slowly. Make sure that your body is relaxed and there is no tension anywhere in your body.

Feel the air flow inside you as you breathe and most importantly push out any thoughts that come to your mind while you meditate.

Meditation can change your life and mind set if your practice it regularly.

Thanks Vellur. I do not meditate per se, but I try to face issues rather stoically. I have seen some meditate daily but relapse into stressful life soon after. Of course, breathing exercises and meditation have benefits when done along with the right approach to life - siva
