How important are your feet?

After my father almost loosed one of his leg to diabetes, my interest in my own feet went to a whole new level.

Our feet are special - let's start taking care of them.

Our feet carry very exertive and essential tasks, we should very well take much care for them. If our feet are not taken care of chronic problems can occur. Circulation problems can occur with older feet but everyday circumstances can restrict blood flow to the feet. Here are some healthy steps to follow for foot care;
1. Avoid getting feet cold or wet or if unavoidable having a warm bath will improve circulation and dry completely afterward.
2. Avoid wearing tight under garments.
3. Smoking reduces circulation to all parts of the body so don't smoke.
4. Avoid sitting with legs crossed.
5. Drinking too much coffee as caffeine just like nicotine constricts blood flow to the small blood vessels thereby lessening the ability to carry blood.


Diabetics should exercise special care with feet as even a small cut can carry serious consequences.
