Let me tell you how I got rid off my tough cough. Even I suggest this remedy for children also.

I prepared this remedy out of my own experience after different trials.

The Tough cough

I have been suffering from cough for almost a month. It was a tough cough. I was given some antibiotics but it did not subside.

I tried different medicines like allopathy, homeopathy and other sundry remedies but to no avail.

At last I found a great remedy to my long persisting cough.

This remedy may induce vomiting in some people. Such individuals may experiment with one or two cloves of garlic first and then go for the method explained here. Similarly the quantity of dates and milk can be varied according to your taste and tolerance.

Garlic – about 4 to 6 cloves

Dates – without seeds about 6 to 10

Milk – a glassful, preferably warm but not cold.

Here is how I prepared it.

Take 4 to 6 cloves of fresh garlic and peel of the skin.

Take 6 to 10 dates and remove their seeds.

Put them together in a juice extractor and add a glass of warm milk.

Extract the juice and have it. Sip it slowly allowing it to mix well with the saliva in your mouth and swallow as slowly as possible to trickle down your throat.

The juice cleanses your throat killing the germs sticking on the mucus membrane.

The garlic acts on the respiratory system and cures the cough.

This remedy should be taken preferably on an empty stomach daily until the cough is cured.

It is one of the greatest natural and simple remedy that does not have any side effects.

But it has other benefits like: aiding digestion, reduction of cholesterol, curing skin infections, sure cure for allergies, improves overall immunity, induces good sleep.

Garlic has been known for its medicinal qualities over the ages. Many societies and cultures across the world have been using against various ailments successfully.

Modern society has almost ignored the importance of this natural medicine as the pharmaceutical business is thriving across the globe due to marketing strategies.

It is always better to follow the nature to keep ourselves healthy by practicing this kind of natural methods to avoid unwarranted and avoidable side effects.

I'll try this the next time I get a cough. I haven't even had a head cold in three years so it may be a while before I'll have a need for this remedy. I use a lot of fresh garlic in my cooking anyway. I love the stuff.

Hi Jerry Walch,

Thank you for the comments.

As you already use lot of garlic you may not really need this remedy.

Still you can try and see how it tastes.

I had a cough for 3 weeks and i was mostly over it, but it was just hanging on like a rabid pit bull. I ate a half clove of garlic and suddenly I got better! I continued for a few days, just to be sure I was over it.

This treatment is very effective, I like it. I have even suggested it to my dad who was not having a wink of eye in the night due to the persistent cough but he is getting better now. Thank you bros.
