Getting rid of pain in your body or energizing yourself when you are tired so that you can stay awake is easy to do using ancient Chinese Shiatsu methods.

Instructions
Difficulty: Moderate

Things You'll Need
Two bare arms
Two hands
About 20 minutes, five to ten minutes to pinch the arms and ten to fifteen minutes to wait for the change in your body to happen after both arms have been pinched.

Step One

Let’s say you have a headache or are trying to stay awake at your third shift job. What you will do is you will extend one arm out from the shoulder but do not move the arm above shoulder length just extend the arm so that it is exactly level with the shoulder.

Step Two


Now what you want to do is make a very tight fist by putting your thumb inside your other four fingers and squeezing the thumb really hard.

Step Three


Now you want to turn your wrist to the right a little bit so that your arm is extended straight out from the shoulder and you have a tight fist and the part of the wrist where you would normally take your pulse is pointing straight up.

Step Four


Now what you want to do is start pinching with the other arm from the base of the wrist all the way up to the shoulder in a straight line. You are trying to pinch in small, hard and tiny pinches all the way up the arm in a straight line making sure that you have a straight arm and a tight fist with your wrist pointing straight up.

Step Five


Pinch the arm all the way from the wrist to the shoulder blade in a straight line. According to ancient Chinese custom if you can pinch so hard that you make a line of red going up the arm that is actually a good thing. Just be careful not to scratch yourself or mark your skin up or anything like that.

Step Six


Now you are going to roll your sleeve down and go to the other arm and repeat steps one through five on the other arm.

Step Seven


Now what you want to do is wait about 15 minutes and you will feel a change in your body that may take away all pain if you are in pain or energize you if you were half dead and falling asleep.

Step Eight


Now you are awake and bright eyed and bushy tailed!

Tips & Warnings

You will need to touch bare skin for this one so roll your sleeves up for the best results.
Try to pinch yourself but if you have a friend who doesn’t have her dragon lady nail tip extensions on today you can ask her to pinch you if you don’t want to reach over with the other arm.
