After a whole long day of working hard out of home, you may not want to stay outside for the gym in the dark evening. Meanwhile, you feel you do need some workout to stay in good health and maintain your amazing shape. What can you do? Is there any way to exercise regularly at home without getting bored? In fact, there are ways which allow you to do some exercises on a regular basis, while remaining in the comfort of your own living room.

How to exercise at home without getting bored

1 — Use an exercise ball.

Amazingly, there are a lot of DVDs available in the market to teach you how to do different kinds of exercises with a simple exercises ball.

A key benefit of exercising with an exercise ball as opposite to exercising directly on a hard flat surface is that the body responds to the instability of the ball to remain balanced, engaging many more muscles. Those muscles become stronger over time to keep balance. Most frequently, the core body muscles (the abdominal muscles and back muscles) are the focus of exercise-ball fitness programs.

The ball allows you not only to do effective workout, but also to enjoy relaxation of your body, which can activate your blood and lymphatic circulation.

2 — Do more cleaning and cooking at home.

When you do more cleaning at home, you can keep your place much cleaner. Above all, when you do cleaning, you have to move around, stay standing, change your posture all the time, which brings a lot of exercises to every parts of your body.

3 —Hire a personal trainer to coach you at home.

Some private trainers provide the service to visit their clients at home to develop an exercise program customized to client’s tastes, needs and health conditions.

To start such a training program, you should not necessarily buy new exercise machines or equipments. You can work with the things you already have at home such as carpets, dumbbells, skipping rope or an exercise ball. (You can even use two bottles filled with water as dumbbells.) The simple exercises, but supervised by professional trainer, often give excellent results.

In general, personal trainer can direct you to do stretching and cardio exercises, and muscle toning. He or she can correct your false movements or postures, motivate you and encourage you to put more effort into your exercises. With a professional trainer, you can get five times more results than if you do exercises alone. It also helps you plan a lifestyle and maximize the time you spend. Especially, the trainer can ensure that the equipments used (eg. exercises DVD or weight machines) are not dangerous for you and your training do not cause injuries.
