What makes us addicted to cigarettes?

Nicotine falls in group of poisons. Nicotinism is nicotine poisoning, caused by excessive use of tobacco and marked by depression of the central and autonomic nervous systems. When we first inhale cigarette smoke we get dose of nicotine. After some times in our organism nicotine is depleted and we need another dose. And that is what makes us addicted to cigarettes.

How to stop smokeing -- STEP ONE

First you must have a strong will. You must want to stop smoking. If you have a strong will it would be easier to stop smoking. Then buy your last box of cigarettes and collocate that box through the day. After you smoked your last cigarette go to sleep. When you wake up you will want to smoke but desire will be smaller.

How to stop smoking -- STEP TWO

After your desire for smoking is reduced you are ready for a next step. Most people smoke when they are bored. So, you have to make your self preoccupied. You have to do something constantly. When a desire for smoking become big, just try to eat something, apple or some fruit. When you are irritable try to meditate to calm your self down.


If steps one and two does not work for you, try to do this. There is a lot of nicotine based preparations e.g. nicotine gums, nicotine plaster, pills... But for stopping smoking do not use e-cigarettes. The chemicals in vapor are irritate respiratory organs.

But remember this: stopping smoking is hard but it is worth. Smoking is very harmful for your health so stop on time before its to late, or don't start at all.
